I had never warmed up to the know it all farmer, Miranda's monster girls really got on my nerves. With an angel and a giant in the family it's hard to get screen time during battle and plot progression I think and I love my super powerful leads, but this gave the cast a chance to breath and for characters to be themselves without being one dimensional.

Ophelia is my favorite, and it's hard not to awed by Nina and Volka, but this book gave me back Millie and Erika as well as a great little romance between a couple of characters who's stories I thought had finished. Didn't like the slap, so I wish it didn't happen so near the end of the book but thanks Mr Bradford.

Another great chapter and I hope they keep on coming. When I first got into this series I was expecting a smutty book to pass some time with. What I got was an amazing story and an adventure that I was not expecting. The third book is as good as the first two and we get to see some Nina rage which is awesome. Its a bit slower than the other ones but thats because its more about handling character development from what happened in the last two books.

I am super excited to see what Nameless and the rest do going forward. The story of Nameless and his bond mates picks up where it left off, and the stakes keep getting higher. It's true what others have said, that the story in this book is slower than in the previous two, but it's supposed to be. This book is about two things: First, character development.

Not only for Nameless and his ladies, but also for Miranda and hers, as well as some characters that we haven't seen since the first book. One in particular was a pleasant surprise and very well done, and another just digs their own grave with the foolish choices they make.

The second thing this book focuses on is overcoming loss. If you've read the series this far, you know what happened at the end of the last book. Nameless and his bond mates each deal with that loss in their own way, and you see them work through and overcome it in their own ways. By the end of the book, things ramp up again to move the story and the world forward, and I for one cannot wait to see what happens next.

I love the story that is being written, I even love the whole reasoning behind nameless being But for the love of Gorbash Devourer of shoes and he who spits on handrails. Cordelia drew in a nervous breath. But there was still the other thing. Her mouth fell open as she gasped, eyes wide with mock surprise. Giving him a break, Cordelia abandoned her joke quickly. After a moment, she tried again. Copyright Disclaimer: This site does not store any files on its server. Unnecessary gore and violence was not included, which can be an issue with a writer trying to get into the 'serious' market with a 'non-serious' story.

Character development and all went well Now, if I'd wanted to read a lesbian starter-fic, there are plenty of materials out there. It felt as if the Cordelia plot were invented at some point, then inserted at key levels; good editing was done, but there was minimal connection with the rest of the story. To rephrase, Cordelia is depicted as growing a conscience, begins a relationship with Oldeera after a decent length of time, and then decides to leave with her Discounting the emergence of a tertiary character, there is minimal logic in the decision.

And now she's leaving because the focus she knew would be coming has come. It took forever for anything the sex to happen and the first half of the book just felt like one big downer. Berth vs birth. That kind of stuff. I was thinking of giving this installment of my current favorite series 4 stars. The book is slower than we are used too, and we delve into the story of three minor characters I did not think were going to be expanded upon.

I think that would be unfair however. If I had discovered this series in book 8 and was happily gobbling them up one after the other This pause on the plot advancement would feel exactly right. It takes a lot of work to juggle a huge cast of characters. In the first book I fell in love with Millie, yet after the second book I was a bit tired of the cat and the cow both. I had never warmed up to the know it all farmer, Miranda's monster girls really got on my nerves.
